Key Skills

  • AWS infrastructure and services (CloudFormation, EKS, VPC, EC2, IAM, ...)
  • Kubernetes (CKA is highly regarded)
  • Experience with Infrastructure such as Code, CI/CD and automation tools, particularly Gitlab, Terraform, ...)
  • Worked with monitoring / alerting tools such as Promethius and Grafana
  • Good understanding of Linux
  • EKS upgrade and patching for UAT and production accounts.
  • Coding/scripting (Bash, Python, Go etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of security fundamentals, including encryption, certificates, etc
  • Good knowledge of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, NAT, etc
  • Strong ability to independently acquire new technical skills to meet a cloud infrastructure requirement.
  • Good knowledge of architecture that deliver Highly Available solutions.
  • An ‘eye for detail’ and quality focus
  • Demonstrated customer focus
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate complex technology solutions
  • Proactive and forward thinking, with the ability to suggest improvements to current processes and practices

Essential

  • Deep experience in AWS services and infrastructure, particularly EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, ELB
  • Demonstrated expertise in authoring Terraform code
  • Experience with building Gitlab CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Monitoring and Alerting at an infrastructure level, to ensure service interruption is appropriately monitored and alerted.
  • DR (disaster recovery)

Preferred

  • Experience with Cloud automation frameworks, DevOps, infrastructure as code and containerization 
  • Experience with infrastructure and application performance monitoring 
  • Experience common Cloud Solutions and Services
  • AWS Certifications highly regarded
  • Change management/JIRA/Servicenow
  • Experience in client/infra audits
  • SSL Certificate Management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – able to communicate ideas, concepts, and facts to both projects, peers and senior members of staff.
  • Friendly, professional, and business-like approach to clients / Solutions staff.
  • Delivery focused.
  • Systematic, logical thinker with excellent attention to detail, but able to take a holistic view of the delivery organization and its associated processes.
