Head - Quarry & Crusher

Job Description:

1. Strategic Planning: Oversee end-to-end quarry and crushing plant operation including all P&M involved in quarry & crusher operations and transport. Formulate & implement standard operating procedure (SOP) for P&M operations, maintenance (predictive & preventive), log sheets for utilizations and consumptions, and others, as required. 2. Asset Management: Manage asset inventory, purchase & repair management, implement value addition to optimize utilization and cost. 3. Operations & Maintenance: Direct workshop functions, repairs, predictive and preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment availability and lifespan and reduce operating cost. 4. Production Management: Oversee drilling, blasting, loading, and crushing processes to hit daily output goals. 5. Cost & Budget Control: Manage departmental budgets, track equipment operating costs, and optimize machinery utilization to reduce production cost. 6. Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (EHS) protocols and ensure statutory compliance for all equipment. 7. Quality Control: Monitor blast outputs at quarry, aggregate sizes and material blends from crusher to meet requirement specifications. Optimize blast in a manner to increase direct feed to crusher and reduce requirement for secondary blasting/breaking. 8. Reports: Create various report formats for data and analysis, present reports to CEO from time-to-time on improvements undertaken, suggest on future technology innovations and their cost benefit analysis, etc. 9. Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and manage all personnel working under him.
1. B.Tech. in Mining/Mechanical Engineering mandatory. 2. Minimum experience 25+ years, out of which at least 7 years in leading the similar operations successfully. 3. Hands-on experience in a quarry, mining, or aggregate processing environment. 4. Strong understanding of heavy machinery, crushing plants, and extraction methods. 5. Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
