Job Description:

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Plans and coordinates independent work requiring judgment and experience in the application and substantial adaptation of engineering techniques.
  • Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.
  • Prepare, check / review, approve conceptual studies, designs and detailed project drawings, proposals, design criteria & specifications, project budget and schedules
  • Assists in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and mentors them and provides input for their performance evaluations.
  • Assists Construction and Field Engineering to resolve Contractor Technical Queries and resultant field changes.
  • Ensures that technical risk assessments are comprehensive and complete, safety practices and procedures are implemented, and engineering design and corresponding design documentations omply project Quality Assurance plan and procedures.
  • Assists in creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, satisfaction and in planning and implementing a program to develop self-  perform engineering capabilities and resources.

 

Job Knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years in design of large-scale highways and roads projects including 5 years on International Projects. Demonstrated skill in supervision in a lead position for minimum 3 years. Must have worked on at least one highway project from conceptualization to execution.
  • Candidate should have worked in an engineering office or consultancy of repute performing relevant work and is fluent in applicable codes in US, UK and Europe and governing highway/roadway designs including AASHTO, US FHWA and TEM and have hands-on expertise in using design software such as MX-Road, InRoads, OpenRoads and Civil 3D. Knowledge of Quantm software will be preferred.

 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Master’s degree in Highway or Transportation Engineering and professional license in an appropriate engineering discipline from a recognized licensing board will be preferred.
  • Experience of traffic engineering works shall be an added advantage.
