Job Description:

Job Title: Industrial Services Engineer/ IS Project Engineer Main Purpose of Job Level: Responsible for ensuring competent industrial services management and operation, and to ensure optimal cost, highly efficient, quality, and sustained generation, and distribution of utilities for the factory operation. i.e., steam, refrigeration, water and effluent treatment, hygienic air handling and compressed air. The IS Project Engineer is to ensure right design, installation, and commissioning to meet above. Reports to: Factory Engineer/ Project Engineering Manager Organisation Unit / Location Factory/ Project site Main Responsibilities / Job Summary KPIs & Dimensions 1. Industrial services management Define, propose, and monitor the Industrial Service plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles, and standards Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to Industrial Services. Lead and coordinate the Industrial Service team and maintain competencies, motivation, and performance to achieve the team’s mission and objectives. Establish and implement a maintenance strategy and schedule supported by all functions thereby ensuring availability of assets / plant to ensure optimum utilisation of assets and resources, including installation of new industrial service assets. Plans, performs, and manages design, modification and improvements to industrial services plant, equipment, and infrastructure. Utilising own area of competency and specialisation or with competent 3rd parties. 2. Compliance Ensure that all utilities (air, gases, water, steam, water-conditioning chemicals) that come, or may accidentally come, in direct contact with products are treated according to acceptance criteria for product and processes. Ensure that the Industrial Services are operated, maintained, distributed, and inspected in accordance with all internal and external standards, regulations, and audits (e.g., boiler house, ammonia systems, pressure vessels etc.). Ensure that the documentation is always up to date and both legal and Nestlé compliant. i.e., flow diagrams, HVAC Schematics, P&IDs, log sheets, equipment records, operating permits etc. Ensure that the correct safety systems and alarms have been installed, appropriate emergency plans have been established and that all relevant persons are regularly trained to handle emergencies. Ensure workplace safety and effective communication of Safety, Health and Environment to all team members. 3. Data management / Systems Propose and control the Industrial Service budget including the monitoring and reporting of all costs relating to energy. ▪ Industrial services management: Deliver as per agreed timetable. Industrial services MTBF. Operational cost vs budget. ▪ Compliance: NER compliance, Statutory and safety PM order completion, Quality and Environmental monitoring PPI/API's, Boiler House and Ammonia Audit results and corrective action closure rate ▪ SHE: Achievement of all agreed Safety and Environment performance KPIs in his /her area of responsibility. ▪ Data management / Systems: Monitor availability of services, costs and KPIs. (Energy and water consumption per ton of production, emissions, wastewater indicators, etc.) ▪ Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices by using benchmarking studies. Propose and monitor Industrial Services in accordance with the key performance indicators. Dive the energy and environmental reporting system and implementation of SHE-PM 4. Continuous Improvement Ensure that all members of the Industrial Service team play an active role in assisting the client in improving the energy usage and reducing waste across the site through continual improvement initiatives. Coach and mentor the members of team to increase productivity and efficiency by facilitating MBU concept. 5. Knowledge management and people development Ensure that the operators and mechanics are properly trained, have the correct certification and sufficient utilities process and equipment functional knowledge to run the Industrial Service utilities. Ensure that the core competencies in Industrial Services are always maintained. Communicate information flows from the management to the direct reportees and vice versa.

Technical / Functional ▪ Knowledge of regulatory requirements for safety, environment, and statutory inspections. ▪ In-depth knowledge of utilities plant operation and technology. (Boilers, Refrigeration, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Odour Treatment, Compressed Air, HVAC, and Power Distribution) ▪ Knowledge of quality requirements for each utility stream (Steam, Water, Air...) should it come in contact with the product ▪ Analytical skills in problem solving. ▪ Communication and service minded. ▪ General understanding of variance reports, budgeting, and relevant business drivers. ▪ Maintenance & Improvement, Energy & Project Management Qualifications ▪ Degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Thermal Engineering Experience ▪ Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in the technical utilities field, preferably heat or power generation
