Job Description:
Purpose of the Job:

 

Set up and animate the Integrated Quality Management System in accordance with company policy. Management of complete QA/QC on site and ensure project construction as per the Quality standards and requirement. 

 

Reporting lines
QA/QC Manager reports to Head-Projects/Construction. 

 

Key Accountabilities 

 

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality plans.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of site-specific quality with regard to specific equipment, materials, and site design.
• The manager will coordinate this site-specific plan with the construction manager and project manager as a part of the RFP process.
• Ensure that facilities are constructed in accordance to the site-specific quality control and commissioning plans, local AHJ codes, facility design documents, and contractor service agreements.
• Provide weekly reports to project-specific Construction Manager, Project Manager, and Director of Project Operations. 
• These reports will contain quality and commissioning progress, trend analysis, risk analysis, and turnover package information.
• Weekly conduct & coordination meetings with the quality and commissioning teams, functional project.
• Participate, as needed, in project specific meetings such as kick-off meetings, sub-contractor meetings, and weekly progress meetings.
• Ensure, through mentoring, training, and auditing, that field construction managers, site leads, and QA/QC representatives understand and apply the standards set forth in the quality and commissioning programs.
• Coordinate with the project manager as needed to collect required documentation for major milestones, project closeout, and RFI review.
• Coordinate with the field construction staff with concern to completion walkdowns, handover of start-up packages, and the development and closeout of all punch list items.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to understand and develop utility acceptance test procedures. The manager will be responsible for ensuring successful tests, including practice testing.
• Review and approve all quality control and commissioning documents.
• Coordinate with the project manager to build and complete the turnover package for the client.
• Collect data from every step of the quality and commissioning process for every project.
• Analyze the data, defect trend to evaluate contractor performance and to facilitate improvements to the quality and commission programs.
• Evaluate contractors/ vendors w.r.t. quality requirements & compliances during selection.
• Responsible for all QA/QC of equipment / material / contracts from suppliers and services. Conduct factory inspections of all material/ equipment’s purchased and raise the deviations if any, submit duly signed reports to HO-QHSE for further review & handover to customer.
• Responsible for complete QA/QC management on site.
• Implementation of Quality Management System on site.
• Preparation and implementation of QCPs for material and services as per Group guidelines.
• Ensure that all contractors and workmen are provided with necessary training on site.
• Ensure all QA/QC procedures and processes are followed by all workmen on site.
• Ensure all Quality protocols and systems are strictly implemented on site.
• Ensure all Quality check-lists are part of specifications/contract and implemented on site.
• Monitor the work execution as per SOPs, WI's, QAPs, etc. and take necessary steps/ actions.
• Follow up on Quality related NCRs and ensure closure.
• Review design and engineering documents and provide inputs related to Quality.
• Compile and distribute weekly, monthly and yearly QA/QC reports/statistics.
• Work towards the goal of high-quality site. 
• Monitor quality implementations through periodic site inspections, review meetings and release reports stakeholders.
• In case of any non-conformity / deviation, lead RCA of the same. Ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide administrative support to all Quality related meetings and events.
• Liaise with QA/QC country / business unit leaders with regards to QA/QC data and statistics, reporting, etc.
• Ensure implementation of Quality Management on site.
