Job Description:

Your Responsibilities Include
 

  • Maintains up to date knowledge on the most recent Storage, Backup and Cloud technologies.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope and complexity. 
  • Implements continuous improvements (upgrades and patches) to ensure storage and backup assets are preventively maintained, running properly and protected from security threats.
  • Monitors storage and data protection industry trends.
  • Lead project work stream activities, working with internal and external cross-functional groups
  • Monitors storage and SAN infrastructure for availability and reliability. Monitors and reports on processes, uptime, performance, utilization, and capacity of storage and backup infrastructure.
  • Interacts with end users and other IT teams including outside IT support providers to accommodate requests for storage, backup and Cloud services.
  • Leads troubleshooting initiatives and resolves infrastructure failures by analyzing issues and implementing corrective actions. Leads root cause analysis and takes measures to address root cause analysis findings.
  • Resolve storage incidents in a timely manner, including acceptance of support requests and incidents from other geographies.
  • Being able to work independently while using either agile or waterfall methodologies
  • Interact with IT project lead and Architect to plan future backup or storage requirements
  • Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IT methodology and processes
  • Perform or assist in capacity/performance management, trend and error analysis to determine system changes required
  • Adhere to tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource requirements and change management principles
  • Appropriately communicates project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items
     

 

 

What We're Looking For
 

  • 8+ years’ experience in Information Technology
  • 5 + years’ experience with NetApp, Dell\EMC Storage and Backup Technologies
  • Strong knowledge of the following storage products: Data Domain, PowerMax, xTremIO, PowerStore, NetApp ONTAP, Veritas NetBackup, and Druva Phoenix
  • Experience in Brocade switch zoning and troubleshooting
  • Strong Storage and Backup troubleshooting experience
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure (Files, ANF, Blob, Backups, etc.)
  • Understanding of AWS (S3, FSxN, FSx, EBS, File Gateway, Backups, etc.)
  • Experience in scripting and automation processes (Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Shell)
  • Experience in reporting
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines, business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.
