Job Description:
Purpose of the Job Role
Overlooking the finance and accounting of Head Office by consolidation of numbers of all entities and then reporting to the group
Primary Responsibilities
- Timely consolidation of numbers and timely and accurate closure of Head Office books
- Timely Submission of the performance pack and Budget, Finances, computability (French: Budget, Finance, Accounting) pack to the group
- Ensuring all direct and indirect tax issues of the entity are managed
- Ensuring there’s no unusual/abnormal tax liability in the company
- Handling closure statutory audit
- Making decisions relating to audit by discussing with the audit partner and CFO
- Managing statutory and tax audits as per set timeline, analysing & implementing auditor’s findings and recommendations
- Decision making relating to cash flow, submission of numbers (if any discrepancies can review and communicate to the group directly and sort it out without consulting the CFO)
- Developing best financial accounting practices & control procedures and continuous monitoring to maximize impact and efficiency
- Review of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial performance, variance analysis, margin % with respect to budget, inventory analysis, Capex spend, Days Sales Outstanding & Days Payable Outstanding analysis
- Raising fund-based and non-fund-based facilities to meet working capital and customer requirements from banks and financial institution
- Reporting of Financial Statements in compliance with International Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) & International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Adherence to Group's Reporting & Compliance requirement on submission of financials reports, internal control and Fraud & Risk Analysis
- Preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, strategic plans and review with CFO & CEO to set the future business goals
- Overseeing RBI & Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) compliances, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Reporting, attending queries and representation before Reserve Bank of India
- Responsible for Direct and Indirect Tax Planning, filling of returns and representation before various authorities
- Providing information to the top management on need basis and support CFO on timely compliances and reporting
Secondary Responsibilities
- Handling tax issues which are generally managed by a separate department
- Facilitating with System Development Team in developing customized reports to maximize management information system for financial reporting
- Assisting Functional Heads to improve their financial awareness and provided them with relevant financial information for their operations
Role Outcome
- Effective internal controls for reliable financial reporting & safeguarding the company's assets through Order to Cash (O2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P)
- Group taxation and group statutory audit
- Qualification Criteria Minimum Educational Qualification CA
Number of Years of Experience & Required Specialized Knowledge
8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting field.
