Quality Assurance Specialist- Tester
Job Description:
Job Summary
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our development team by ensuring that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers. You will be responsible for creating test plans, executing tests, identifying defects, and ensuring that all software errors are reported and resolved in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans to ensure the application meets the requirements and overall quality standards.
- Use bug tracking and test management tools to document, track, and resolve issues.
- Stay updated with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Participate in product design/development reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Review and analyze system specifications to ensure testability.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistent project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in manual testing and familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Understanding of various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
