Job Description:

Position Overview: The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resource functions including manpower budgeting, sourcing, employee performance management, staff development, and employee retention. The candidate will coordinate with the management to ensure timely and fair increments, create a conducive work environment, and ensure statutory compliance, particularly within the construction industry. The role will require close collaboration with both internal teams and external sourcing agents, with mandatory travel to project sites for effective grievance handling and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manpower Budgeting & Sourcing:
    • Develop and implement manpower budgets in alignment with project needs.
    • Manage manpower sourcing efforts through internal teams and external sourcing agents.
  2. Performance Management:
    • Design and implement performance management systems based on staff goals and Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs).
    • Coordinate with management to ensure timely, fair staff increments and rewards.
  3. Employee Onboarding & Training:
    • Oversee staff on boarding and ensure the implementation of training programs as per business needs.
    • Gather training requirements from various project sites and prepare a training calendar to meet required training man-days.
  4. Process & Policy Development:
    • Develop clear processes and policies to enhance staff experience and engagement in the organization.
  5. Employee Engagement & Retention:
    • Lead employee engagement activities aimed at improving retention and promoting a safe, healthy work environment.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage employee attrition and implement retention strategies.
  6. Grievance Handling & HR Operations:
    • Address employee grievances efficiently by visiting project sites and implementing HR operational best practices.
  7. Statutory Compliance:
    • Ensure statutory compliance with labor laws, especially within the construction industry, in accordance with legal requirements.
